about

The Usermode Sessions is a collection of old school acid house tracks that were written, performed, and recorded in early 2018. With a DIY back-to-basics approach, each track was recorded live, in a single take, using real analog and digital synthesizers, drum machines, mixers, and effects, on a 24 track recorder. No computers, software, or smart devices were used during the production of this album in order to recapture some of the live and improvisational energy and feeling of early house and dance music.

The Usermode Sessions were never intended for release. These recordings were produced during writing and practice sessions for the Usermode live set. However, to celebrate Moogfest 2018 we've decided to put these tracks out for people who love hardware, tweaking, and live electronic music.

Note: A new higher-quality re-master of this album was uploaded on July 24, 2017. If you downloaded this album before that date you should download it again if you want the highest possible quality audio!
